Pick up your free L&S t-shirt between 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at either Allen Centennial Garden or the Gordon Dining & Event Center lawn. Students should watch their WiscMail for more details about t-shirt pickup.

1. College of Letters & Science Orientation
L&S First-year Student Academic Orientation will welcome first-year students who advise with L&S Academic Advising Services (AAS) and Center for Academic Excellence (CAE). It is an opportunity to gather with fellow students and learn more about your L&S education, academic and non-academic resources, and how to access advising. Students will also hear from L&S Dean Eric Wilcots and take photos with classmates.
These UW offices will also be at Orientation: SuccessWorks, Center for Pre-Health Advising, Center for Pre-Law Advising, Study Abroad, and Learning Support.
Cross-College Advising Services (CCAS) and L&S Honors will be hosting their own orientations.
Where: Memorial Union Theatre (Shannon Hall)
When: Orientation presentations begin at 9:15am and 10:00am. You will be assigned to attend only one. Watch your WiscMail for details. Presentation will be followed by activities on the Memorial Union Terrace until 11:15am, including a group L&S photo at 11:00am.
2. Chancellor’s Welcome Lunch
Where: Sellery Residence Hall basketball courts.
When: 11:15am – 1:00pm
3. UW-Madison Convocation
Chancellor Mnookin will welcome all first-year UW-Madison students.
Where: Kohl Center
When: 1:30pm. Doors open at 12:30pm.
