About Grover:
Originally from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Grover earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education/English here at UW-Madison. Grover’s career as an educator began with teaching English in Japan for four years. After returning home, he taught high school English in a small Illinois town. Working with college-bound high school seniors led him to an interest in higher education. After completing a master’s degree in adult developmental education, Grover joined the learning support center at National Louis University in Chicago, Illinois. He assisted students with academic writing, reading strategies, study skills, and time management. He eventually transitioned to student success coaching and academic advising, which led him to becoming a part of the Academic Advising Services team. Outside of work, Grover enjoys science fiction and supernatural movies, TV shows, and books. If time permits, he hopes to practice his writing skills in those genres.
